Queso Cup XXII - 2023

"Hammock Bay Haymaker"

Gone But Never Forgotten...

Rick Bertheaud - 2021

The Queso Family lost a brother and close friend when Rick left us unexpectedly in December of 2021.  Rick loved the Queso Cup and the opportunity to get together with the group every year and he was always willing to jump in and help when needed (and was never shy about expressing his displeasure when things didn't run as he would advise...one of the things we love the most about him!)

He meant so much to so many that are part of this group, our lives and the event will forever have an empty space without him.

Rick - you'll be loved, missed and remembered fondly.

Bryan Furlong - 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we must let you know that we lost an outstanding man, best friend and brother. Bryan went to heaven on Wednesday morning where we can only imagine there was the most deserved welcome party ever. We will miss everything about you BF and rejoice in the knowledge that you have won the battle, the pain is gone forever and the trusty Divine Nine is back in action.

Bryan loved everything about the Queso Cup, maybe more than any of us. He looked forward to the opportunity to fellowship with this group every year and it was a big part of his fight to get better. We all hoped beyond hope that he would be with us again next week in South Carolina and now, he will be. We will honor and celebrate the life of a great husband, father, brother, and friend together just like he would have wanted.. What is making him happiest, and we have not a single ounce of doubt that this is true, is that the money that we raise in his honor for the charity can now go to help someone else win their battle - that is just who he is.

We love you B - you'll be with us forever.

Robert O'Neal - 2008

It is with great sadness that we must share the loss of not only a Queso Cup Alum but a tremendous friend. Robert O'Neal lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at 6:45pm on Sunday, July 13, 2008. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The Q-Cup won't be the same without the big man. We will cherish the memories and the time we spent together on the course and off.

Not Kornheiser, the good looking guy over his right shoulder...
